The Lounge at New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel delights guests with its brand-new Old Hong Kong Charm Afternoon Tea. This exquisite offering brings back nostalgic memories of local cha chaan teng favorites as elegantly crafted sweet and savory creations.

Executive Pastry Chef Daniel Law and his talented team showcase their craftsmanship and creativity by transforming iconic Hong Kong tea-time treats and street snacks into edible miniatures. These delightful creations include bite-sized "French toast" Peanut Pound Cake, "pineapple bun" Pineapple Passion Fruit Puff, "curry fish balls" Yuzu Mousse Cake, and "red bean coconut drink" Red Bean and Young Coconut Jelly Cup.

Chef Daniel draws inspiration from his childhood memories, reimagining Hong Kong-style baked goodies and classic winter comfort foods through creations like the Homemade Jumbo Palmier, Rich Milk Tea Roll Cake and English Scone in Baked Sweet Potato Flavour.

This sentimental collection extends beyond desserts. The delectable savory array includes Abalone, Chicken and Jinhua Ham Tartlet — an elevated version of traditional chicken pie — while the Black Truffle, Corned Beef and Egg Sandwich impresses with its perfect balance of premium ingredients and comfort food flavours.

Other must-try items include scrumptious Golden Curry Pork Skin and Squid, bold-flavoured Cilantro and Preserved Egg Jelly with Smoked Caviar, as well as refreshing Tiger Prawn and Salmon Roe Rice Roll with Pickled Papaya.

The whimsical afternoon tea comes with one drink per person. Choose from The Lounge's selection of coffees, signature tea blends, or the iconic Hong Kong-style iced milk tea. For an additional HK$38 per person, guests can upgrade to seasonal specialties: Pineapple Delight (pineapple Yakult soda), Tender Moments (red bean paste, coconut jelly, and coconut milk), or Condensed Milk and Peanut Butter Coffee.

The tea set is attractively served in a three-tiered "bird cage" stand, amidst the comfortable, tranquil lounge enhanced by two-story windows and elegant sofa seating.

Old Hong Kong Charm Afternoon Tea is available daily from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. It is priced at HK$448 for two (or HK$238 per person).
